Dr. Richard Gellman

Dr. Richard Gellman specializes in orthopaedic trauma (fractures and dislocations including pelvic and acetabular fractures), foot and ankle surgery and reconstructive problems related to these areas such as fracture nonunions (fractures that have not healed), malunions (fractures that heal crooked), failed ankle surgery, diabetic Charcot problems and orthopaedic infections.

Dr. Gellman attended the Yale University School of Medicine, graduating in 1991. He then attended orthopaedic residency at the University of California, San Francisco, graduating in 1997. Following residency he completed a Trauma fellowship at the University of Texas, Houston and a Foot and Ankle fellowship in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Gellman started his practice in Portland in 2001. He is based at Legacy Emanuel hospital and also has privileges at Portland Providence and Providence St. Vincent’s Hospitals.  Dr. Gellman is located in our Portland office - for more information please visit www.summitorthopedicsnw.com.
